Course Description:

Come and unravel the mysteries of Remediation Funding Sources and Financial Assurances! The posting of remediation funding sources and financial assurances are vital to safeguard that funds are available to complete the remediation of a site if the person who is responsible to conduct remediation fails to do so. This course will focus on the regulatory and administrative requirements for posting of remediation funding source and financial assurance mechanisms. Environmental practitioners should be knowledgeable in these requirements to ensure compliance with the regulations and safeguarding public funds are not expended to remediate a non-compliant site.
