Description:
The topic of the December 14, 2021 Member Regulatory Roundtable is “Vapor
Intrusion: New Construction Design for NJ and National Standards” with a pr
esentation by Gunnar Barr and Dan Nuzzetti.
The evaluation of v
apor intrusion for new construction at a contaminated site is an important
consideration. Planning to address vapor intrusion during the construction
design phase is often the most effective means for mitigation.
This program will provide an analysis of the various techniques for preemp
tively installing mitigation systems as part of new construction, including
discussions on current guidance documents with a focus on national constru
ction standards and how they compare to NJ regulations. Environmental pract
itioners will learn the theory behind new construction design, passive vs.
active systems, as well as practical construction strategies. Time will be
allowed for Q&A.
The presentation will be followed by an int
eractive open forum roundtable discussion moderated by Michael Poland. Duri
ng this portion of the program, attendees will be given an opportunity to i
dentify critical issues or concerns they feel directly impact the work of L
SRPs.
All Members and Associate Members are invited and encourag
ed to participate in the discussion. Space is limited so register now to en
