Description:

The topic of the September 21, 2021 Member Regulatory Roundtable is “Practical Application of Presumptive Remedies” with a presentation by Andrew Robins.

LSRPs are regularly involved with contaminated sites being redeveloped for residential purposes, and capping of such sites, or portions thereof, is often a viable remedial option. The NJDEP has established a set of remediation criteria, known as presumptive remedies, for the proper implementation of these engineering and institutional controls at sites where the intended use of the property will be for a school, childcare center, or residence. This discussion will provide LSRPs and environmental practitioners alike with the information needed to comply with NJDEP’s statutory, regulatory, and practical aspects of the Presumptive and Alternative Remedy Technical Guidance. Time will be allowed for Q&A.

The presentation will be followed by an interactive open forum roundtable discussion moderated by Ken Haduch. During this portion of the program, attendees will be given an opportunity to identify critical issues or concerns they feel directly impact the work of LSRPs.
