The Department will be providing training on Remediation Funding Source (RFS) and Financial Assurance (FA) Training on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.  The training is scheduled in the Public Hearing Room from 1:30pm to 4:00 pm and there will be a webinar component. Registration will begin at 1:00pm.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (NJDEP) Site Remediation and Waste Management Program will be providing a detailed training on Remediation Funding Source (RFS) and Financial Assurance (FA). The program will provide an overview of RFS and FA, including exemptions, cover the process for developing a detailed cost estimate and submitting/providing/preparing complete RFS and FA packages. Presenters will detail the financial mechanisms and templates along with changes to the RFS or FA type, responsible party, or amount through reductions, increases, disbursements, and the release of RFS and FA.  A question and answer period will follow each presentation.

Continuing Education Credits (CECs):

The Department has applied to the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board (SRPLB) for 2.0 Regulatory Credits for this course. The application for CECs is currently before the Licensing Board. Please note certificates WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE until the course is approved by the SRPLB. Credits, once approved, may be applicable to NJ PE licenses, PE licenses from other states, and PG licenses from other states; please verify the requirements that apply to your licenses.Credits, once approved, may be applicable to NJ PE licenses, PE licenses from other states, and PG licenses from other states; please verify the requirements that apply to your licenses. After the course, the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association (LSRPA) will provide eligible attendees detailed instructions via email regarding how to obtain a CEC certificate.
