Did you know that the NJDEP has a mobile app? WARN DEP is available for google, Apple, and Microsoft devices and was made available to the public in 2016. The app utilizes GPS technology for pinpoint location of non-emergency environmental incidents and also allows users to submit photos as part of their reports to the DEP.

However, use of the WARN DEP mobile app is NOT for environmental emergencies. This includes notification of releases. LSRPs and environmental professionals reporting these environmental incidents to the DEP must still must be done via the hotline: 1-877-WARNDEP. While the app is handy, we recommend continued use of the hotline for release reporting that falls under the purview of the CSRR.
