The New Jersey Site Remediation Conference (NJSRC) is the only conference dedicated specifically to the needs of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and professionals conducting site remediation under the LSRP program. It promotes the core principals of the LSRP Association (LSRPA) and provides LSRPs and other environmental professionals with the opportunity to enhance their professional practice and show-case their technical, regulatory and consulting expertise.

We welcome abstracts for oral and poster presentations for topics related to the LSRP practice and the remediation of contaminated sites, with emphasis on the following themes:

  • Complex regulatory issues;
  • Interface of the LSRP with other regulatory programs;
  • LSRP and risk communication;
  • Innovative approaches to investigation and remediation;
  • Innovative approaches to addressing IECs;
  • Expedited site closure;
  • Relevant academic research projects.

Instructions to Authors

Abstracts must be organized under the following required subheadings — Background/Objectives, Approach/Activities, and Results/Lessons Learned.

  • Submit your abstract via email with the subject line “NJSRC 2019 Abstract Submission – last name” to [email protected].  Please submit as a .pdf file.  The abstract title is limited to 200 characters and the abstract text is limited to 2,000 characters.  Please indicate whether it is for an oral or poster presentations
  • Remediation projects are often confidential.  The presenter is responsible for obtaining any and all required releases and permissions, prior to submitting abstract.
  • All speakers must pay the registration fee to speak and attend the Annual Meeting.
  • All sessions will take place at the New Brunswick Hyatt Hotel
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to accept or reject submittals at its sole discretion
  • Placement of presentations and posters will be at the sole discretion of the organizing committee

Important Dates

  • Deadline for submission: December 12, 2018, 24:00
  • Notification of acceptance: December 20, 2018
  • Deadline for withdraw an accepted abstract: December 27, 14:00:00

Oral Presenters

  • Oral Presentations will be on January 30, 2019
  • The length of an oral presentation is 30 minutes (20 minutes presentation plus 10 minutes for questions and answers).
  • Presentations should be prepared using a 16:9 ratio.
  • Poster Presenters
  • Posters must be freestanding, no bigger than 6-ft-wide by 4-ft-high mounted on a display board.
  • Posters must be suitable for display on a tripod
  • You are responsible to provide your own materials.
  • You are responsible for providing appropriate lashing for the board.
  • The LSRPA is not responsible for damage or loss of presentation and supplies.
  • Posters will be on display 5:00 pm January 29, 2019 through 3:30 January 30, 2019
